The top vote winner in the car seat category for the “sport auto Award” for 2015 is RECARO Automotive Seating. Getting 89 percent of the submitted votes, the renowned sport seat manufacturer was the clear favorite of the 13,601 participants. This put Johnson Controls’ product group RECARO Automotive Seating in top place for the ninth year in a row. “The demanding readers of the specialist magazine ‘sport auto’ are satisfied by only the very best, which is why we’re very proud of winning their vote,” said Markus Kussmaul, Vice President at RECARO Automotive Seating. “For my team and myself, this is naturally a wonderful recognition of our work, but above all, it’s also a great motivation to win again next year.” Another clear measure for the strong win was the large gap between RECARO and the second-place winner in the car seating category, which scored 42 percent. “In order to not only satisfy, but also excite our customers in the future too, we are continually working on the development of our seats. This led to our presentation of the new RECARO Sport Seat Platform (RSSP) at the recently completed IAA motor show, a modern seat concept that was very well received by our visitors in Frankfurt,” said Kussmaul. “The RSSP combines in a completely new way the central topics of tomorrow, namely lightweight design and individualization, so that we can optimally respond to market trends and end-customer desires. We are thus setting a standard with which we will continue to make a decisive impact on the design of sporty automotive seating.”
